Rooibos and babies
All I know of Rooibos is from experience. Please read up more about it here and here.

I’m not a big fan of tea. If I had to drink it I just drink Rooibos, and not that often either – tea is for sick people. Coffee is the foundation of my day, and the walls, and the windows. Mostly only drank it when ill ‘cause then I added some lemon, ginger and honey. Take 2 Panados with it and it works better than MedLemon.
Then I fell pregnant. And I cut out caffeine. I switched to decaf coffee and at least 1 cup of Rooibos a day.

Then I had Amelia. Learned to stomach copious litres of the red tea while breast-feeding. I discovered a teapot from my trousseaux and brewed a pot every 4-6 hours. I peed like a horse too.
I got a tube of Rooibos lotion (Annique) at my baby shower, and Rooibos baby shampoo. Amelia had such terrible cradle cap; the Rooibos shampoo helped a lot. I put the lotion on those little pimples that newborns get, and on her eyebrows (even more cradle cap). And it helped.
Now with teething, as soon as I see even a hint of a rash, I brew a cup of strong tea and add it to her bathwater.
And of course Amelia drinks it from her magmag. With a straw even
